Mather Memorial Garden

The beautiful Mather Memorial Garden, established in 1987, graces the north side of St Mary's Church. A 40-foot long crescent shaped wall, with name plaques commemorating the deceased, is graced with a five foot statue of St. Mary in the classic "Our Lady of Grace" pose overlooking the garden and the cinerarium (a depository of ashes).

With a bequest from Eliza Thompson Mather, a lifelong parishoner of St Mary's, the Garden was renovated in 1998 with new plantings, trees and a fountain and a fund for future maintenance was established.

This garden, enriched with the fountain and meditation areas, is a place for contemplation, remembrance, prayer, and inspiration
